This Prize will honor excellence in economic and business journalism. It will be presented during a Gala Dinner Awards. For the 2019 edition, the Journalistic Investigation will be the only subject of the competition.

A Special Award will recognize companies and institutions that bring an intensive contribution to the promotion of economic and journalism in Africa.

Set up by Ivorian Media Personality and Events Promoter Michel Russel Lohoré, the first edition of Africa Economic and Financial Journalism Forum will be held on 16-17 May, 2019 in Abidjan (Ivory Coast) under the theme“The Role of Economic and Business Journalism in an Expanding Economy”.

Africa Economic and Financial Journalism Forum is established to encourage and promote economic and business journalism in Africa. It seeks to bring together each year economic media leaders from Africa and other countries, journalists, economists, investors, entrepreneurs, governments representatives and policy makers, etc, to work on the place of business journalism in Africa and help journalists to improve their knowledge.

Africa Economic and Financial Journalism Forum will be an excellent platform where major economic matters regarding the future and will be discussed. The program will include conferences, workshops and a Gala Dinner Awards.
