WHY FAPEF?

Set up by Ivorian Media Personality and Events Promoter Michel Russel Lohoré, the first edition of Africa Economic and Financial Journalism Forum will be held on 11 - 12 June 2020 in Abidjan (Ivory Coast) under the theme “The Role of Economic and Business Journalism in an Expanding Economy”.

Africa Economic and Financial Journalism Forum is established to encourage and promote economic and business journalism in Africa. It seeks to bring together each year economic media leaders from Africa and other countries, journalists, economists, investors, entrepreneurs, governments representatives and policy makers, etc, to work on the place of business journalism in Africa and help journalists to improve their knowledge. Africa Economic and Financial Journalism Forum will be an excellent platform where major economic matters regarding the future and will be discussed.

In Africa, emergence is an essential goal for several countries. The priority given to the economy as a source of progress and social well-being, place now the economic and financial information in the heart of the strategy of emergence. The African economic and financial journalist must play a key role in the development of the continent. Companies and institutions will present their services and best practices to the economic media community.

The Forum will include conferences and workshops. The Gala Dinner Awards will award talented journalists and recognize companies and institutions that bring an intensive contribution to the promotion of economic and journalism in Africa.
